Our Clinic
Our clinic has been owned and operated by Salmon Arm Optometrists for over seventy years
with Albert Bedford being Salmon Arm’s first druggist/optometrist.

Albert Bedford's son George Victor Bedford took over his father’s practice.

Dr. Lindsay Mushaluk*
Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2010.
During the summers of her undergrad, she worked in the practice at the front desk and pretesting patients. Lindsay attended Pacific University in Oregon where she graduated with Distinction in 2014. Her time at Pacific took her to El Salvador on a mission eye care trip as well as to Vancouver, Wyoming, California and Hawaii for her training in primary care and ocular disease.
Lindsay is passionate about helping others and pleased to be able to provide eye care in her hometown.
She enjoys skiing in the winter and playing soccer in the summer.

Dr. George Ujimoto (Retired)*
George is a Salmon Arm native who studied at the Okanagan College before making his way to Waterloo, Ontario for optometry school. He graduated in 1977 and has been providing quality eye care in the Salmon Arm community ever since taking over Dr. G. V. Bedford’s practice. Throughout his career, he has always had a passion for technology and staying up to date on the ever-changing equipment and innovations available.
George’s primary passion is being able to provide the best eye carepossible right in his own stomping ground. In his spare time, he also enjoys gardening and cooking.

Eye Exams
Comprehensive eye examinations
for all ages.
Children
First eye examination recommended at 6 months of age with annual exams until age 19. We do not charge for children.
Adults between 19 and 65 years
Recommended routine eye examinations every 2 years.
Seniors 65 and over
Annual examinations are recommended due to increased risk of ocular pathology.
Emergencies
From metallic foreign bodies and flashes/floaters to sudden vision changes, we are here to assist.
We are available for emergencies during office hours. Please visit the emergency room if we are not open during your time of emergency.
